Robust observer-based output feedback control for fuzzy descriptor systems

[[abstract]]This paper proposes a robust observer-based output feedback control for fuzzy descriptor systems. First, we represent singular nonlinear dynamic system into Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy descriptor model which have a tighter representation for a wider class of nonlinear systems in comparison to general state-space models. To achieve the control objective, we design a fuzzy controller and observer in a unified and systematic manner. The stability analysis of the overall closed-loop fuzzy system leads to formulation of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The advantages of the approach are three fold. First, we consider conditions of immeasurable states which allows a practical design of sensorless control systems. Secondly, we address the robustness issue in the system which avoids control performance deterioration or instability due to disturbance or approximation errors in the system. Third, we formulate the overall control problem into LMIs. Using the observer and controller gains by solving LMIs, we carry out numerical simulations which verify theoretical statements.[[incitationindex]]SCI[[booktype]]紙本[[booktype]]電子

[[abstract]]This paper proposes output feedback control for fuzzy descriptor systems with interval time-varying delay. First, singular nonlinear dynamic systems with interval time-varying delay are taken into consideration. Then using a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model, we design a fuzzy representation of the original nonlinear system. This fuzzy representation consists of local linear descriptor systems. To achieve the control objective, a fuzzy controller and observer is designed in a systematic manner. The stability analysis of the overall closed-loop fuzzy system leads to formulation of linear matrix inequalities. Using the observer and controller gains by solving LMIs, we carry out numerical simulations which verify theoretical statements.[[iscallforpapers]]

Fuzzy Virtual Reference Model Sensorless Tracking Control for Linear Induction Motors

Accepted[[abstract]]This paper introduces a fuzzy virtual reference model (FVRM) synthesis method for linear induction motor (LIM) speed sensorless tracking control. First, we represent the LIM as a T-S fuzzy model. Second, we estimate the immeasurable mover speed and secondary flux by a fuzzy observer. Third, to convert the speed tracking control into a stabilization problem, we define the internal desired states for state tracking via an FVRM. Finally, by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), we obtain the observer gains and the control gains where exponential convergence is guaranteed. The contributions of the approach in this paper are three folds: i) simplified approach -- speed tracking problem converted to stabilization problem; ii) omit need of actual reference model -- fuzzy virtual reference model generates internal desired states; and iii) unification of controller and observer design -- control objectives are formulated into LMI problem where powerful numerical toolboxes solve controller and observer gains. Finally, experiments are carried out to verify the theoretical results and show satisfactory performance both in transient response and robustness.[[notice]]補正完畢[[journaltype]]國外[[incitationindex]]SCI[[incitationindex]]EI[[ispeerreviewed]]Y[[booktype]]紙本[[booktype]]電子版[[countrycodes]]US

A multimodal cell census and atlas of the mammalian primary motor cortex

ABSTRACT We report the generation of a multimodal cell census and atlas of the mammalian primary motor cortex (MOp or M1) as the initial product of the BRAIN Initiative Cell Census Network (BICCN). This was achieved by coordinated large-scale analyses of single-cell transcriptomes, chromatin accessibility, DNA methylomes, spatially resolved single-cell transcriptomes, morphological and electrophysiological properties, and cellular resolution input-output mapping, integrated through cross-modal computational analysis. Together, our results advance the collective knowledge and understanding of brain cell type organization: First, our study reveals a unified molecular genetic landscape of cortical cell types that congruently integrates their transcriptome, open chromatin and DNA methylation maps. Second, cross-species analysis achieves a unified taxonomy of transcriptomic types and their hierarchical organization that are conserved from mouse to marmoset and human. Third, cross-modal analysis provides compelling evidence for the epigenomic, transcriptomic, and gene regulatory basis of neuronal phenotypes such as their physiological and anatomical properties, demonstrating the biological validity and genomic underpinning of neuron types and subtypes. Fourth, in situ single-cell transcriptomics provides a spatially-resolved cell type atlas of the motor cortex. Fifth, integrated transcriptomic, epigenomic and anatomical analyses reveal the correspondence between neural circuits and transcriptomic cell types. We further present an extensive genetic toolset for targeting and fate mapping glutamatergic projection neuron types toward linking their developmental trajectory to their circuit function. Together, our results establish a unified and mechanistic framework of neuronal cell type organization that integrates multi-layered molecular genetic and spatial information with multi-faceted phenotypic properties

[[abstract]]This paper proposes an observer-based output tracking control via virtual desired reference model for a class of nonlinear systems with time-varying delay and disturbance. First, the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model represents the nonlinear system with time-varying delay and disturbance. Then we design an observer to estimate immeasurable states and controller to drive the error between estimated state and virtual desired variables (VDVs) to zero such that the overall control output tracking system has H∞ control performance. Using Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, we derive sufficient conditions for stability. The advantages of the proposed output control system are (i) systematic approach to derive VDVs for controller design; (ii) relaxes need for real reference model; (iii) drops need for information of equilibrium; (iv) relaxed condition is provided via three-step procedure to find observer and controller gain. We carry out simulation using a continuous stirred tank reactor system where the effectiveness of the proposed controller is demonstrated by satisfactory numerical results.[[notice]]補正完畢[[incitationindex]]SCI[[booktype]]紙本[[booktype]]電子

[[abstract]]This paper proposes an output tracking control via virtual reference model for a class of nonlinear discrete-time systems with time-varying delay and disturbance. First, a Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model represents the discrete-time nonlinear system with time-varying delay. Second, a fuzzy observer design estimates immeasurable state. Third, a virtual desired variable (VDV) based tracking controller design guarantees H∞ control performance for the overall system. Using Lyapunov’s stability analysis, we obtain sufficient conditions for stability of estimation, control, and robustness. The advantages are as follows: (i) allow unknown time-varying delay; (ii) ensure robust output tracking; (iii) provide relaxed conditions via a three-steps procedure to find observer and controller gain. To verify the theoretical derivation, we carry out numerical simulations on a stirred tank reactor system as an example. Satisfactory results validate the claims.[[incitationindex]]SCI[[incitationindex]]EI[[booktype]]紙本[[booktype]]電子
